White Pigeon Community
Schools Implements New Strategic Plan
September, 2013: The start of the 2013-14 school year marks the beginning of a new Strategic Plan for White Pigeon Community Schools. The new Strategic Plan is used to guide the district in decision making as it makes improvements to the instructional program. The Strategic Plan functions as a road map and is designed to keep the district focused on excellence.
The strategic plan was developed over the course of the 2012-13 school year. Input was gathered from students, staff, parents and community members. A Strategic Planning Task Force was established to write the formal plan with input along the way.
The Strategic Plan contains the district’s vision, mission, core values, and promise. The Task Force selected “Every Student- Every Day”as the district promise. The promise represents the commitment of all district employees to focus on the individual child on a daily basis and provide the one-to-one attention that all students need. The Task Force presented the Strategic Plan to the Board of Education on April 17, 2013.
