I am Carrie Erlandson and have been the Director of Curriculum and Grants for the White Pigeon Community Schools for the last twelve years.
I am a graduate of White Pigeon High School, and Western Michigan University, where I graduated with a Bachelors' Degree in Elementary Educaton and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. I completed my student teaching in Comstock, Mi at Green Meadow Elementary. I was hired by Comstock Public Schools the following year and taught third grade. Two years later, I was hired in White Pigeon and have been here since 1984. I have taught Young Fives, Fifth and Sixth Grades and coached basketball, volleyball and track. Twelve years ago, I was hired as the Title One/Curriculum Director and have been doing that since.
I live in Portage, with my husband, stepson Ryan, and my two dog children Bailey and Bo. My step daughter lives in Geneva, IL with her husband Brad. Erica is a graduate of Assumption College in Worchester, MA and Ryan will attend Western Michigan University in the fall. My husband, Roger is a real estate developer.
