Bridge Magazine, in collaboration with the Lansing-based research firm of Public Sector Consultants, created a ranking system comparing a school's test scores to other districts with a similar percentage of students qualifying for free or reduced lunch. In essence, it is a ranking not of achievement, but over-achievement.
In the Bridge Magazine report released on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, White Pigeon Community Schools ranked 45th out of 507 school districts. We are in the top 10% of all the schools in Michigan!! In the same report released in January of 2014, we were ranked in the Top 13%.
White Pigeon Community Schools did well at all of the building levels. White Pigeon High School was ranked in the top 5%, Central Elementary in the top 20% and White Pigeon Middle School in the top 20% of all state schools in a report published by the Mackinac Center for Public Policy.
